The DGP30-E3/54 is a standard recovery rectifier diode from Vishay General Semiconductor, designed for high voltage rectification applications. It features a repetitive peak reverse voltage of 1500V and an average forward current of 3A at 50°C ambient with 0.375" lead length. The forward voltage drop is typically 1.2V at 3A, and the device can withstand a peak forward surge current of 100A (8.3 ms single half sine-wave).
This rectifier utilizes a glass passivated junction for improved reliability and stability. It is ideal for use in power supplies, inverters, converters, and freewheeling diodes, as well as clamping and damper circuits in horizontal deflection systems. The standard recovery time of 20 µs ensures suitable performance for line-frequency operations.
The device is packaged in a DO-201AD axial lead through-hole package, with matte tin plated leads for excellent solderability. The molded epoxy case meets UL 94 V-0 flammability rating. The E3 suffix indicates RoHS compliance, making it suitable for environmentally conscious designs.
