The DFLT51A-7 is a 225W surface mount transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode from Diodes Incorporated. It is designed to protect sensitive electronic circuits from voltage transients induced by lightning, ESD, and other surge events. With a reverse standoff voltage of 51V and a clamping voltage of 82.4V at 2.73A peak pulse current, it provides robust protection for a variety of applications.
The device offers excellent clamping capability and fast response time. It is rated for 225W peak pulse power dissipation for a 10/1000µs waveform and 1125W for an 8/20µs waveform. The DFLT51A-7 is unidirectional, making it suitable for DC power lines and signal lines where polarity is known.
Housed in a compact PowerDI 123 package, the diode is surface mountable and occupies minimal board space. It features an operating temperature range of -65°C to 150°C and is moisture sensitivity level 1 (MSL 1) per J-STD-020. The device is RoHS3 compliant, halogen and antimony free, and has a matte tin annealed over copper leadframe finish for excellent solderability.
