The DFLT43A-7 is a 225W surface-mount transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode from Diodes Incorporated. It is designed to protect sensitive electronics from voltage transients induced by lightning, inductive load switching, and electrostatic discharge. This unidirectional device offers a reverse standoff voltage of 43V and a clamping voltage of 69.4V at a peak pulse current of 3.24A (8/20µs waveform). It also provides a peak pulse power dissipation of 1125W under 8/20µs conditions and a forward surge current capability of 50A (8.3ms half sine wave).
The device features a low forward voltage of 3.5V at 12A and a DC steady-state power dissipation of 1.0W. It operates over a wide temperature range from -65°C to 150°C. The junction-to-ambient thermal resistance is 125°C/W, and junction-to-soldering point is 6°C/W.
The DFLT43A-7 is housed in a compact PowerDI 123 package, which is molded plastic with UL 94V-0 flammability rating. It has matte tin terminals and is lead-free, RoHS3 compliant, and halogen and antimony free. The device is supplied in tape and reel packaging with 3000 units per reel, suitable for automated assembly.
