The DESD5V2S2UT-7 is a unidirectional Zener TVS diode from Diodes Incorporated designed for transient voltage suppression in sensitive electronics. It features a reverse standoff voltage of 5.2V, with a breakdown voltage range of 6.4V to 7.2V at 5mA. The clamping voltage is 9V typical at 1A and 20V maximum at 15A peak pulse current (8/20µs waveform). The device can handle 260W of peak pulse power.
This diode provides excellent ESD protection with ratings of 30kV for both air and contact discharge per IEC 61000-4-2, and 10kV HBM per MIL-STD 883. The reverse leakage current is less than 1µA at the working voltage, and the typical capacitance is 165pF at 0V, 1MHz. It is qualified to AEC-Q101 standards, making it suitable for automotive and other high-reliability applications.
The DESD5V2S2UT-7 comes in a surface-mount SOT-23-3 package (also known as TO-236-3 or SC-59). It is supplied in tape and reel packaging with 3000 pieces per reel. The device is RoHS3 compliant, lead-free, and has an MSL rating of Level 1 (unlimited). The operating temperature range is -65°C to 150°C junction temperature, with a thermal resistance of 417°C/W when mounted on FR-4 PCB.
