The DESD5V0S1BA-7 is a low capacitance bidirectional TVS (Transient Voltage Suppression) diode designed by Diodes Incorporated for protecting sensitive electronic circuits from electrostatic discharge (ESD) and other voltage transients. It provides ESD protection per IEC 61000-4-2 standard up to ±30kV for both air and contact discharge, and can handle a peak pulse current of 12A (8/20µs) with a clamping voltage of 14V at that current.
With a reverse standoff voltage of 5V and a breakdown voltage range of 5.5V to 9.5V, this diode is suitable for low-voltage applications such as cellular handsets, portable electronics, communication systems, and computers. Its low capacitance of 35pF (typical at 1MHz) makes it ideal for high-speed data lines where signal integrity is critical.
