This is a low capacitance bidirectional TVS diode designed to protect sensitive electronics from electrostatic discharge (ESD) damage. It provides ESD protection per IEC 61000-4-2 standard with air and contact discharge ratings of ±8kV. The device features a reverse standoff voltage of 3.3V and a breakdown voltage range of 5V to 9V at 1mA. Clamping voltage is typically 6.0V at 3A peak pulse current (8/20μs) and 11.5V at 8A (100ns TLP). With an ultra-low typical capacitance of 0.17pF at 1MHz, it is ideal for high-speed data lines such as USB 3.1 and Thunderbolt 3. The diode is packaged in a compact X2-DSN0603-2 (0201/0603 metric) chip scale package, making it suitable for space-constrained portable applications. It is surface mountable and has NiAu bump terminations. The device is totally lead-free, RoHS compliant, halogen and antimony free (green device). Moisture sensitivity level is 1 per J-STD-020. Operating temperature range is -65°C to +150°C. Peak pulse power is 25W at 8/20μs. Package power dissipation is 250mW with thermal resistance of 500°C/W junction to ambient. Weight is approximately 0.0002 grams. Applications include USB 3.1, Thunderbolt 3, computers and peripherals, and other general purpose portable electronics requiring ESD protection without signal degradation.
