The DEM-9S is a 9-position D-Sub receptacle from ITT Cannon's D*M series. It features female socket contacts with gold over nickel finish for reliable signal transmission. The connector is designed for panel mount installation with solder cup termination, accommodating wire gauges from 20 to 28 AWG. The steel shell with yellow chromate over zinc finish provides durability and corrosion resistance, verified by a 20-hour salt spray test. The insulator is made of thermoplastic PCT with UL94 V-0 flammability rating.
Electrical specifications include a maximum current rating of 7.5A per contact, dielectric withstanding voltage of 1000 VAC at sea level, and contact resistance of 7.5 mOhm maximum. The operating temperature range is -55°C to +125°C, making it suitable for harsh environments. With 200 mating cycles, this connector offers reliable long-term performance.
