The DDZ9709T-7 is a 24V Zener diode from Diodes Incorporated, part of the DDZ9689T-DDZ9717T series. It provides a nominal Zener voltage of 24V with a ±5% tolerance, and is rated for a maximum power dissipation of 150mW. At a forward current of 10mA, the forward voltage is 0.9V maximum. This diode also features a very low reverse leakage current of 50nA at 18.2V.
Designed for surface mount assembly, the device is housed in a compact SOD-523 (SC-79) package with a matte tin annealed Alloy 42 leadframe finish. The package has a cathode band marking and is moisture sensitivity level 1 per J-STD-020D. The operating and storage temperature range is -65°C to +150°C, and the thermal resistance from junction to ambient (when mounted on FR-4 PC board) is 833°C/W.
Typical applications include voltage regulation, voltage reference, and overvoltage protection in space-constrained circuits. The small low-profile package and suitability for automated assembly make it ideal for high-volume consumer electronics, portable devices, and other embedded systems. It is totally lead-free, RoHS and halogen-free compliant, and uses a green molding compound.
