The ITT Cannon DDM36W4P is a D-Sub Combo connector from the COMBO D series, designed for applications requiring mixed signal and power or coaxial contacts. It features a plug (male pin) configuration with 36 total positions: 32 size 20 signal contacts and 4 empty size 8 cavities for coax or power contacts (not included). The connector uses a panel mount style with a steel shell finished in yellow chromate plated zinc for corrosion resistance, as verified by a 20-hour salt spray test.
Electrical specifications include a current rating of 7.5A per signal contact, maximum contact resistance of 10 mΩ, and dielectric withstanding voltage of 500 VAC at sea level. The operating temperature range is -55°C to +125°C. Contacts are made of copper alloy with gold flash finish (Performance Class 3) and are terminated via solder cup, accommodating wire gauges from AWG 8 to 26.
The insulator is molded from black thermoplastic PCT material rated UL94 V-0 for flammability. The connector is shielded and features an unthreaded housing/shell flange. It is rated for 50 mating cycles.
The signal contacts are rated for 7.5A maximum.
