The DDM-50S-F179A is a D-Sub receptacle connector from ITT Cannon's D*M series. It features 50 female socket contacts arranged in 3 rows within a size 5 (DD, D) shell. The connector is designed for panel mount installation with through-hole wire wrap termination.
Electrical specifications include a maximum current rating of 7.5 A per contact, maximum contact resistance of 7.5 mΩ, and a dielectric withstanding voltage of 1000 VAC. The contacts are made of copper alloy with a gold over nickel finish. The insulator is black thermoplastic type PCT with a UL94 V-0 flammability rating.
The steel shell has a tin finish (per datasheet) and includes an unthreaded housing/shell flange feature. The operating temperature range is -55°C to +125°C, with a minimum of 200 mating cycles and 20 hours salt spray test rating. Accepts wire gauge AWG 20-28.
