The MEPCO DD-391 is a Bagley-class destroyer, part of the U.S. Navy fleet. It measures 341 feet 8 inches in length, 35 feet 6 inches in beam, and has a draft of 10 feet 4 inches. Its armament includes four 5"/38 guns, four .50 caliber machine guns, and four sets of 21" torpedo tubes.
Commissioned on August 14, 1937, the DD-391 saw significant service, including action during the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, where it was the first warship to open fire. The USS Henley (DD-391) met its end on October 3, 1943, when it was torpedoed and sunk by the Japanese submarine RO-108 off Cape Cretin, New Guinea. It sank stern first at latitude 7° 40' S and longitude 148° 06' E.
