The DC2296A is an evaluation board from Analog Devices Inc./Maxim Integrated designed for the LTC2983 multi-sensor high accuracy digital temperature measurement system IC. The board allows engineers to evaluate the LTC2983's capability to measure a wide variety of temperature sensors including thermocouples, RTDs, thermistors, and diodes, outputting results in °C or °F with 0.1°C accuracy and 0.001°C resolution.
The LTC2983 features 20 reconfigurable analog inputs enabling multiple sensor connections and configuration options. It includes excitation current sources and fault detection circuitry appropriate for each type of temperature sensor. The device uses an SPI interface for communication and operates from a single 2.85V to 5.25V supply. The 24-bit delta-sigma ADC provides high resolution measurements.
The board is supplied as a bare board assembly. It is RoHS3 compliant and has an MSL rating of 1 (Unlimited). This evaluation platform is suitable for prototyping and testing temperature measurement applications requiring high accuracy and flexibility in sensor selection.
