The DBM5W5S is a D-Sub Combo receptacle housing from ITT Cannon's COMBO D series. It is designed for use with female contacts and accommodates up to 5 positions, supporting coax or power contacts. The housing features a steel shell with yellow chromate plated zinc finish, providing durability and corrosion resistance. It is shielded for EMI protection.
The insulator is made of thermoplastic PCT with UL 94V-0 flammability rating, and the housing is panel mount with an unthreaded flange. The contact arrangement is 5W5 with one empty size 8 cavity. Contacts are not included and must be ordered separately.
Electrical specifications include a dielectric withstanding voltage of 500 VAC at sea level and a current rating of 7.5 A for signal contacts. The operating temperature range is -55°C to +125°C, and it passes a 20-hour salt spray test. Wire gauge range is AWG 8-26.
This housing is suitable for applications requiring mixed signal and power connections in a compact D-Sub form factor. The through-hole mounting method for contacts allows for reliable soldering.
