The DB-25S-A197 is a D-Subminiature receptacle connector from ITT Cannon's Original D series. It features 25 female socket contacts arranged in 2 rows, with a shell size of 3 (DB, B). The connector is designed for panel mounting with a flange feature of housing/shell (unthreaded) and mounting hole diameter of 0.120 in (3.05 mm).
Electrical specifications include a current rating of 7.5 A at 85°C and 5 A at 105°C, with a maximum contact resistance of 10 mOhm. The dielectric withstanding voltage is 1200 VAC at sea level. The operating temperature range is -55°C to +125°C.
The contacts are turned copper alloy with gold flash finish, suitable for wire gauges 20-28 AWG. Termination is via solder cup. The shell is steel with tin finish, and the insulator is black thermoplastic PCT rated UL94 V-0. The connector is designed for a minimum of 50 mating cycles and passes a 20-hour salt spray test.
