The DB-25P-K87 is a 25-position D-Sub plug connector manufactured by ITT Cannon, part of the Original D series. It features male pins (size 20 contacts) arranged in 2 rows, terminated via solder cups, and designed for panel mounting with through-hole mounting method (.120" / 3.05mm). The steel shell has a tin-nickel plated finish for durability, and grounding indents are included for enhanced electromagnetic performance.
Electrical specs include a current rating of 7.5 A at 85°C or 5 A at 105°C, maximum contact resistance of 10 mOhm, and dielectric withstanding voltage of 1200 VAC. The operating temperature range spans -55°C to +125°C, suitable for many industrial environments. The insulator is black thermoplastic PCT rated UL94 V-0.
The connector accepts wire gauges 20-28 AWG, withstands 50 mating cycles minimum, and passes a 20-hour salt spray test, indicating reasonable environmental robustness. Contacts are copper alloy with gold flash finish.
This is a standard D-Subminiature connector suitable for a wide range of signal interconnection applications where a reliable 25-position plug with solder cup termination is required.
