DAT-31-PP+

The Mini-Circuits DAT-31-PP+ is a 50 Ohm RF digital step attenuator offering a maximum attenuation of 31 dB in 1 dB increments. It operates on a single positive supply voltage of +3V and utilizes a 5-bit parallel control interface for attenuation selection.

This attenuator is designed for applications requiring precise signal level control across a frequency range from DC to 2400 MHz. Key electrical specifications include a typical insertion loss of 1.3 dB at 0 dB attenuation from DC to 1 GHz, and a typical input IP3 of +52 dBm. The device is immune to latch-up and offers excellent accuracy, with typical values as low as 0.02 dB at 1 dB attenuation setting.

The DAT-31-PP+ is manufactured using a CMOS process on silicon, providing performance comparable to GaAs devices with the advantages of CMOS technology. It is housed in a compact 4.0 x 4.0 mm package, suitable for space-constrained designs.

Typical applications include base station infrastructure, portable wireless devices, CATV & DBS systems, MMDS & Wireless LAN, and Wireless Local Loop. It is also used in power amplifier distortion canceling loops.
