The DAM7W2P is a D-Subminiature combo connector from ITT Cannon's COMBO D series. It is a plug (male pin) connector with a 7W2 contact arrangement, offering 5 signal contacts (size 20) and 2 empty cavities for coax or power contacts (size 8). This mixed-layout design allows for signal and power or coaxial connections in a single connector shell.
Key electrical specifications include a maximum current rating of 7.5A per signal contact, a dielectric withstanding voltage of 500 VAC at sea level, and a maximum contact resistance of 10 mOhm. The operating temperature range is -55°C to +125°C. The connector is shielded and features a steel shell with yellow chromate plated zinc finish.
The insulator is made of thermoplastic PCT with UL94 V-0 flammability rating. Contacts are copper alloy with gold flash finish. Termination is via solder cups, and the connector is designed for panel mounting with an unthreaded housing/shell flange. The wire gauge range is AWG 8-26. The connector is rated for 50 mating cycles and passes a 20-hour salt spray test.
This connector is suitable for applications requiring mixed signal and power in a compact D-Sub form factor, such as industrial control, data communications, and test equipment.
7 positions in a 7W2 layout: 5 signal contacts (size 20) and 2 empty cavities for coax or power contacts (size 8).
