The Texas Instruments DAC8881SRGET is a 16-bit, single-channel, voltage-output digital-to-analog converter (DAC) designed for precision applications. It offers a low-noise performance with a typical noise level of 24nV/√Hz and a fast settling time of 5µs.
This DAC utilizes an R-2R architecture and provides a buffered voltage output with a range of 0 to 5.5V. The integral non-linearity (INL) is ±0.5 LSB, and it maintains 16-bit monotonicity over the operating temperature range of -40°C to 105°C. The device supports a wide single power supply range from 2.7V to 5.5V.
Connectivity is established via a fast SPI serial interface, capable of up to 50MHz operation. The DAC8881SRGET includes an on-chip output buffer amplifier with rail-to-rail operation. It also features selectable power-on reset to zero-scale or midscale and supports unipolar straight binary or 2's complement input modes.
