The Texas Instruments DAC811KU is a complete, single-chip, microprocessor-compatible, 12-bit digital-to-analog converter. It integrates a precision voltage reference, microcomputer interface logic, and a double-buffered latch with a voltage output amplifier. This device utilizes fast current switches and a laser-trimmed thin-film resistor network for accurate and rapid digital-to-analog conversion.
The DAC811KU features a double-buffered latch for simplified microcomputer interfacing. The input latch is designed to accept data in 4-bit nibbles, allowing compatibility with 4-, 8-, 12-, or 16-bit buses and supporting right- or left-justified data formats. The converter offers voltage outputs of ±10V, ±5V, or +10V and is guaranteed monotonic over temperature with a maximum nonlinearity of ±1/2 LSB over the operating temperature range of 0°C to 70°C.
