The DAC811JP from Texas Instruments is a complete, single-chip, microprocessor-compatible, 12-bit digital-to-analog converter. It integrates a precision voltage reference, microcomputer interface logic, and a double-buffered latch, along with a voltage output amplifier. This device utilizes fast current switches and a laser-trimmed thin-film resistor network for accurate and rapid D/A conversion.
Designed for ease of interfacing, the DAC811JP supports 4-, 8-, 12-, or 16-bit buses with its double-buffered latch, which is divided into three 4-bit nibbles. Data can be right- or left-justified. The converter operates with analog supply voltages between ±11.4V and ±16.5V, and a digital supply voltage of 5V. It guarantees monotonicity over its specified temperature range of 0°C to 70°C, with a maximum nonlinearity error of ±0.25 LSB (Integral Nonlinearity) and ±0.5 LSB (Differential Nonlinearity).
This DAC features an internal voltage reference and a buffered voltage output. It has a settling time of 4µs and a parallel data interface. The DAC811JP is packaged in a 28-pin DIP (Dual In-line Package) with a 0.600" (15.24mm) width, suitable for through-hole mounting. Its architecture is R-2R, and it does not feature differential outputs.
The DAC811JP has a resolution of 12 bits.
The DAC811JP operates within a temperature range of 0°C to 70°C.
The DAC811JP is designed for through-hole mounting.
The DAC811JP provides a buffered voltage output.
The settling time for the DAC811JP is 4µs.
The INL/DNL for the DAC811JP is ±0.25, ±0.5 LSB.
