The DAC1658Q1G5NAGA from Integrated Device Technology is a high-speed, high-performance 16-bit quad-channel Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC). It offers sample rates up to 2 Gsps, enhanced by selectable x2, x4, and x8 interpolation filters, making it suitable for multi-carrier and broadband wireless transmitters.

This DAC integrates a JEDEC JESD204B compatible high-speed serial input data interface operating up to 10 Gbps over eight differential lanes. This interface provides advantages such as easier PCB layout, lower radiated noise, and deterministic latency. The device is compatible with JESD204B subclass 1, enabling Multiple Device Synchronization (MDS) for sample synchronous and phase coherent operation, ideal for applications like LTE and LTE-A MIMO transceivers.

Key electrical features include an optional on-chip digital modulator for baseband to IF conversion, controlled by a 40-bit Numerically Controlled Oscillator (NCO).
