DA7402

The DA7402 from Dialog Semiconductor is a high-performance, ultra-low-power stereo hi-fi codec featuring wideband digital active noise cancellation (ANC). It supports hybrid, feedforward, and feedback ANC topologies, achieving up to 35 dB cancellation at 200 Hz.

Designed for applications such as USB-C and Bluetooth headphones, headsets, and hearables, the DA7402 offers high dynamic range and minimum latency. It includes an integrated programmable digital signal processor for noise cancellation, equalization, limiting, mixing, and gain control. A dedicated fast equalization path provides 5.2 µs input-to-output latency, while the DSP path offers 25 µs latency.

The codec supports a 4-wire digital audio interface with I2S and TDM formats, up to 32 bits per channel, and sample rates up to 384 kHz. It also features an I2C compatible control interface, multiple PDM inputs for digital microphones, and stereo analog microphone or line input paths with 95 dB dynamic range. The stereo differential headphone path boasts a 115 dB dynamic range.

Packaged in a compact WLCSP 32-ball, 3.29 mm x 1.75 mm with a 0.4 mm pitch, the DA7402 is suitable for space-constrained designs. Its ultra-low-power consumption, with stereo hybrid ANC playback at 8.5 mW, makes it ideal for battery-powered audio devices.
