The Harwin D2828-42 is a 28 position (2 rows of 14) dual-in-line (DIP) IC socket designed for through hole mounting. It features a 2.54mm (0.100") pitch and 15.24mm (0.6") row spacing. The socket uses beryllium copper contacts with gold plating on the contact areas and tin plating on the solder terminations. The open frame plastic housing allows for airflow and inspection.
Electrical ratings include a maximum current of 3A per contact with one contact loaded at 25°C, and 1.5A per contact with all contacts loaded at 25°C. Voltage rating is 100V rms / 150V DC. Contact resistance is 10mΩ maximum initial, and insulation resistance is 10,000MΩ minimum initial. Dielectric withstanding voltage is 1,000V rms. Capacitance between contacts is 1.5pF maximum.
