The Signetics D215 is an intelligent MVB interface module with embedded processing power, designed for harsh rolling stock environments and compliant with EN 50155 and EN 50121 standards. It supports up to MVB Class 4 and offers several physical layers, including EMD and ESD+.

 

The module features a standardized 3U CompactPCI host interface for fast system integration. It operates within a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C and includes features like coating against humidity and enhanced EMI and vibration robustness. The D215 is available with different TCN software stacks (MDFULL, SERVER/SERVER2) and can be configured with or without an integrated MVB Bus Administrator.

 

Technical specifications include 2 x SUB-D MVB connectors, a CompactPCI host connector, and maintenance port connectors. The power supply is 5V DC nominal with a low power consumption of less than 3W. Its dimensions are 160 x 100 x 20.32 mm, and it weighs 150g.
