The D-144-15 is a wire-to-wire solder sleeve from TE Connectivity, designed for immersion resistant shield termination on cables. It features a heat-shrinkable polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) insulation sleeve in transparent blue, with a length of 28.70mm (1.130"). The minimum inside diameter before shrinking is 1.91mm (0.075") and the minimum outside diameter is 2.41mm (0.095"), accommodating a minimum wire bundle size of 0.89mm (0.035").
The sleeve contains a Sn63 (63% tin, 37% lead) solder preform with ROL1 flux per ANSI/J-STD-004, and gray immersion resistant thermoplastic sealing rings. It is rated for a minimum operating temperature of 125°C and a full range of -55°C to +150°C. The part meets the dimensional criteria of Raychem RT-1404 and National Aerospace Standard NAS-1744, making it suitable for aerospace and defense applications.
Installation is performed using TE Connectivity-approved convection or infrared heating tools per Raychem Process Standard RCPS-100-70. The design is intended for use with tin or silver plated shields.
