The D-136-21 is a solder sleeve manufactured by TE Connectivity, designed for wire-to-connector termination in hermetic D-subminiature connectors. It is specifically intended for terminating tin or silver plated stranded wires of AWG sizes 28 to 24 to #20 solder cups.
Construction: The insulation sleeve is made of heat-shrinkable, transparent blue radiation cross-linked modified polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF). Inside, a solder preform using Sn63 solder alloy (per ANSI/J-STD-006) and ROL1 flux (per ANSI/J-STD-004) is embedded. Upon heating, the sleeve recovers to a maximum diameter of 0.76 mm (0.030 inches).
Environmental specifications: The operating temperature range is -55°C to +150°C. The insulation material is suitable for high-temperature applications.
Mechanical data: The inner diameter before shrinking accommodates 0.065 inches (1.65 mm) and 0.077 inches (1.96 mm). The overall length is 10.67 mm (0.420 inches). The part is RoHS3 compliant (unverified) and has an MSL of 1 (unlimited).
