It complies with the latest USB Type-C and USB Power Delivery (PD) standards, enabling easy conversion of devices to USB-C power. The CYPD3176-24LQXQ integrates a USB Type-C transceiver, USB PD policy manager, load switch controller with soft start, termination resistors, and system-level ESD protection. It operates from 3.0 V to 24.5 V and offers integrated overvoltage (OVP), overcurrent (OCP), and over-temperature (OTP) protection.

 

The device supports USB PD 3.1 Version 1.6, including programmable power supply mode, and one USB Type-C port. It also supports legacy charging protocols like BC1.2, Apple, AFC, and QC 2.0 when connected to USB Type-A ports. System-level fault protection includes VBUS to CC short protection.

 

The CYPD3176-24LQXQ is available in a 24-pin QFN package and supports an extended industrial temperature range of -40°C to +105°C. Firmware updates are possible via an I2C bootloader or SWD interface.
