CY8CTMA340-FNI-09

The Cypress Semiconductor CY8CTMA340-FNI-09 is a TrueTouch multi-touch all-points touchscreen controller designed for various display applications. It offers advanced features such as tracking up to four fingers independently, best-in-class water rejection, and Charger Armor technology for battery charger noise immunity. The controller supports a wide range of screen sizes up to 4.5 inches diagonally, with the capability to support up to 7 inches with a stretched sensor pitch.

This device features flexible communication interfaces, including I2C slave up to 400 kHz and SPI slave with 2 Mbps sustained data throughput. It operates with digital supply voltages from 1.71 V to 3.6 V and analog supply voltages from 2.7 V to 3.6 V, or a single shared supply from 2.7 V to 3.6 V. Performance specifications include a noise-free resolution of 0.1 mm, accuracy of 0.5 mm, and a refresh rate greater than 60 Hz with up to four fingers.

The CY8CTMA340-FNI-09 is available in a 49-UFBGA, WLCSP package and is designed for surface mounting. It supports chip-on-flex and chip-on-board configurations and is configurable for plastic film and glass touch sensors. The controller also includes integrated CapSense button support and self-calibrating capabilities to adapt to environmental changes.
