The Bourns CW100505-5N6J is a high Q ceramic chip inductor from the CW100505 series. It offers an inductance of 5.6 nH with ±5% tolerance, a minimum Q factor of 23 at 250 MHz, and a high self-resonant frequency of 5.8 GHz minimum. This unshielded wirewound component is designed for RF and high-frequency circuits.
Electrical characteristics include a maximum DC resistance of 83 mOhm and a rated current of 760 mA. The operating temperature range is -55°C to +125°C, with a temperature rise of 15°C at rated current. The inductor is made with a ceramic core and enameled copper wire, terminated with Mo/Mn+Ni+Au.
Housed in a miniature 0402 (1005 metric) surface mount package measuring 1.00 mm x 0.55 mm x 0.50 mm, it is supplied in tape and reel packaging with 10,000 pieces per 7-inch reel. It is RoHS compliant and halogen free, and meets resistance to soldering heat up to +260°C for 5 seconds.
Typical applications include RF modules, cellular phones, GPS receivers, wireless PDAs/LANs, CATV filters/tuners, and cable modems/set-top boxes. The flat top surface facilitates automated assembly.
