The CURB203-G is a surface mount fast recovery rectifier diode from Comchip Technology, part of the CURB20x-G series. It is rated for a repetitive peak reverse voltage of 200V and an average forward current of 2A at 25°C. The device offers a low forward voltage of 1V maximum at 2A and a fast reverse recovery time of 50ns (tested at IF=0.5A, IR=1.0A, IRR=0.25A). Maximum reverse current is 5µA at 25°C.
The diode features a glass passivated chip for high reliability and is designed for high-speed switching applications. It is housed in a JEDEC DO-214AA (SMB) molded plastic case with solderable terminals per MIL-STD-750, method 2026. Polarity is indicated by a color band on the cathode end. The device is RoHS compliant and has an MSL rating of Level 1 (unlimited). Operating and storage temperature ranges are -55°C to +150°C.
Typical applications include power supply rectification, freewheeling diodes, surge protection, and DC-DC converter output rectification. The CURB203-G is available in Tape & Reel packaging for automated assembly.
