The Silicon Labs CRM200 is a compact, single-axis MEMS angular rate sensor designed for precision navigation and pointing applications. It utilizes a robust silicon MEMS vibrating ring gyro technology to measure angular velocity up to a maximum of ±1,000°/s.
Key features include user-selectable dynamic ranges (75°/s, 150°/s, 300°/s, and 900°/s), low bias instability of 12°/hr, and low Angular Random Walk of 0.2°/√hr. The device offers both analog and digital SPI output modes, with user-adjustable bandwidth up to 160Hz. It operates on a nominal 3V supply (2.7V - 3.6V range) with low power consumption of 4mA.
The CRM200 is housed in a hermetically sealed ceramic LCC surface mount package, providing resistance to temperature and humidity. It includes an integral temperature sensor and is AEC Q100 tested. This sensor is suitable for applications such as automotive in-car navigation, vehicle yaw/pitch/roll rate sensing, motion tracking, and robotics.
