The CPDER12V0U is a unidirectional ESD protection diode designed for general purpose applications. It provides protection against electrostatic discharges per IEC 61000-4-2 with 15kV contact and 20kV air discharge.
Electrical characteristics include a working voltage of 12V, breakdown voltage range of 13.3V to 15.5V (typical 17.5V), clamping voltage of 19V at 1A and 24V at 5A (8/20µs waveform), peak pulse power of 120W, and peak pulse current of 5A. Leakage current is 1.0µA max at 12V, and forward voltage is 0.8V max at 10mA. Typical capacitance is 60pF at 1MHz.
The device is housed in a surface mount 0503 (1308 Metric) package, also known as SOD-723F. Terminals are gold plated and solderable per MIL-STD-750. Operating temperature range is up to 125°C, with storage from -55°C to 150°C. The compact size and low weight (0.002g) make it suitable for high-density circuit board designs.
