CN3795

The CONSONANCE CN3795 is a versatile PWM switch-mode battery charger controller designed for multi-chemistry battery charging. It integrates a Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) function, allowing it to be powered efficiently by photovoltaic cells. This controller is specifically engineered for charging single- or multi-cell Lithium ion, LiFePO4, or Lithium Titanate batteries using a constant current and constant voltage (CC/CV) mode.

Key electrical specifications include a wide input voltage range of 6.6V to 30V and a charge current capability of up to 4A. The device operates at a PWM switching frequency of 310KHz. It offers features such as automatic conditioning of deeply discharged batteries, automatic recharge functionality, and charging status indication. The CN3795 can also function as a voltage source when a battery is absent.

Designed for various applications, including hand-held equipment, emergency lamps, battery-backup systems, and portable industrial or medical devices, the CN3795 is housed in a space-saving 10-pin SSOP package. It operates within an ambient temperature range of -40°C to +85°C and is Pb-free and RoHS-compliant.

Additional features include battery over-voltage protection and automatic sleep mode when the input voltage is lower than the battery voltage. The charging current is programmable via a single current sense resistor, and the regulation voltage is set by two external resistors.
