The Powerex CM800HA-24H is a single IGBT module from the H-Series IGBTMOD family. It is designed for high-power switching applications such as AC motor control, UPS systems, and welding power supplies. The module integrates one IGBT transistor with a reverse-connected super-fast recovery free-wheel diode.
Rated for a collector-emitter voltage of 1200V and a continuous collector current of 800A, the module can dissipate up to 4800W. The gate-emitter voltage is limited to ±20V, with a typical gate threshold voltage of 6.0V. The collector-emitter saturation voltage is typically 2.7V at 25°C and 2.4V at 150°C, with a maximum of 3.6V at 25°C. The module includes an input capacitance of 180 nF and offers isolation voltage of 2500Vrms.
The module is housed in a chassis-mount package with isolated baseplate for easy heat sinking. It weighs 1600g and has dimensions as specified in the datasheet. The module does not include an NTC thermistor.
Typical applications include AC motor drives, motion/servo control, uninterruptible power supplies, and laser power supplies. The high-frequency operation capability (20-25kHz) makes it suitable for modern switching power converters.
