CM1230-08CP

The CM1230-08CP is an 8-channel low-capacitance ESD protection array from On Semiconductor, part of the CM1230 family. Each channel uses a rail-to-rail steering architecture with a pair of ESD diodes and an integrated Zener diode between the positive and negative supply rails, ensuring robust protection without requiring an external bypass capacitor. The device provides ESD protection per IEC 61000-4-2 Level 4 with ±8 kV contact discharge and ±15 kV air discharge, as well as >±15 kV HBM per MIL-STD-883. Key electrical specifications include a reverse standoff voltage of 3.3V, typical clamping voltage of 9.8V, and peak pulse current of 1A (8/20 µs). With an ultra-low typical capacitance of 0.8 pF per channel (I/O to GND) and capacitance difference of 0.15 pF between channels, it minimizes signal degradation on high-speed interfaces.

This device is well-suited for next-generation wireless handsets, LCD display and camera interfaces, and other high-speed serial interface solutions where capacitive loading tolerance is below 1.5 pF. It is available in a compact 10-WLCSP package (2.46x0.96 mm) with surface mount mounting and an operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. The part is RoHS3 compliant, lead-free, and has an MSL rating of 1 (unlimited).
