The CM1224-04MR is a 4-channel low capacitance ESD protection array from On Semiconductor. It belongs to the CM1224 family of steering diode arrays designed to protect sensitive electronic components from electrostatic discharge (ESD) events while minimizing capacitive loading on high-speed data lines.
Each channel provides ESD protection up to ±8kV contact discharge per IEC 61000-4-2 standard. The device features a typical clamping voltage of 10V and a low dynamic resistance of 1.08Ω. Channel input capacitance is typically 0.7pF with excellent matching of 0.02pF, making it suitable for differential signal pairs. The embedded Zener diode between supply rails protects the VCC rail and eliminates the need for external bypass capacitors.
The CM1224-04MR is ideal for protecting high-speed ports such as USB 2.0, IEEE1394 (Firewire), Serial ATA, DVI, HDMI, and similar interfaces in consumer electronics, removable storage, digital camcorders, and DVD-RW drives. Its low capacitance ensures signal integrity at high data rates.
The device is available in a compact 10-MSOP surface mount package, suitable for automated assembly. It operates over a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. The part is lead-free (Pb-Free) and RoHS compliant.
The typical clamping voltage is 10V.
The peak pulse current is 1A (8/20µs).
It is available in a 10-MSOP surface mount package.
The typical capacitance per channel is 0.7pF.
It provides ±8kV contact discharge protection per IEC 61000-4-2.
It has 4 channels.
