The CM1213A-02SR is a two-channel low capacitance ESD protection diode array from ON Semiconductor, part of the CM1213A family. It is designed to protect high-speed data lines from electrostatic discharge (ESD) events. Each channel consists of a pair of steering diodes that direct positive or negative ESD current to the supply rails, with an integrated Zener diode between V_P and V_N to protect the V_CC rail without needing a bypass capacitor.
Key electrical specifications include a reverse standoff voltage of 3.3V, typical clamping voltage of 10V, and peak pulse current handling of 1A (8/20µs). The device offers ESD protection per IEC 61000-4-2 up to 12kV contact discharge. The typical channel input capacitance is only 0.85pF, making it suitable for high-speed signal interfaces such as USB, HDMI, and Ethernet. Capacitance matching between channels is typically 0.02pF, ideal for differential signal pairs.
The CM1213A-02SR is housed in a surface-mount SOT-143 package (also known as TO-253-4) and operates over a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. The device is Pb-free and halogen free, compliant with RoHS and REACH (unverified). It is suitable for general-purpose ESD protection applications where low capacitive loading is critical.
