The Samtec CLP-108-02-L-D-A-K-TR is a low profile dual wipe socket from the CLP series, designed for board-to-board applications. It features 16 positions arranged in two rows on a 1.27mm pitch, with an insulation height of 2.14mm. The connector is rated for 3.4A per pin (2 pins powered) and 280 VAC / 395 VDC, with an operating temperature range of -55°C to +125°C. The insulator is black Liquid Crystal Polymer (LCP) with a UL94 V-0 flammability rating.
The contacts are made of phosphor bronze with a gold plating on the mating area (10µin) and matte tin on the termination tails. The connector includes a board guide, alignment pin, and a polyimide film pick and place pad for automated assembly. It is surface mount solderable and lead-free compliant. The SMT lead coplanarity is 0.10mm maximum for 02-35 positions. The minimum insertion depth is 1.40mm for top entry and 2.41mm for bottom entry. The connector is rated for a minimum of 100 mating cycles with 10µin gold plating.
The CLP-108-02-L-D-A-K-TR is supplied in tape and reel packaging, suitable for high-volume assembly. It mates with Samtec FTSH, FTS, and FW series headers, making it a versatile choice for dense PCB interconnections.
