The CG31.5L is a two-electrode gas discharge tube (GDT) from Littelfuse's CG3 series, designed for surge protection and high isolation applications. It features a DC breakdown voltage of 1500V typical (1200V min, 1800V max at 100V/s) and impulse breakdown voltages of 1800V max at 100V/µs and 2000V max at 1kV/µs.
This GDT offers a nominal impulse discharge current of 5kA (8/20µs, 10 shots) and a maximum surge current of 10kA (8/20µs, 1 shot). It has a low capacitance of less than 1.5 pF at 1MHz, high insulation resistance of 10 GΩ minimum at 100V, and a typical arc voltage of approximately 25V at 1A. The device can extinguish AC follow-on currents up to 200A.
The CG31.5L is housed in an axial cylinder package with through-hole mounting and has 2 poles. It is suitable for applications such as CRT terminals, CATV equipment, antennas, power supplies, and medical electronics.
The DC breakdown voltage is 1200V minimum, 1500V typical, and 1800V maximum at 100V/s.
The impulse breakdown voltage is 1800V maximum at 100V/µs and 2000V maximum at 1kV/µs.
The nominal impulse discharge current is 5kA (8/20µs, 10 shots).
The capacitance is less than 1.5 pF at 1MHz.
The CG31.5L comes in an axial cylinder package with through-hole mounting and has 2 poles.
The insulation resistance is 10 GΩ minimum at 100V.
The maximum follow-on current is 200A.
