The Bourns CDSOT236-T12LC is a bidirectional Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) diode designed for ESD, EFT, and surge protection in high-speed data ports. It features a working peak reverse voltage of 12V and a minimum breakdown voltage of 13.3V at 1mA. The device provides peak pulse power dissipation of 350W (8/20µs) and can handle peak pulse currents up to 11A. Clamping voltage is 19V at 1A and 28.3V at the peak pulse current.
This TVS diode offers low typical capacitance of 3pF at 0V and 1MHz, making it suitable for high-speed signal lines without degrading signal integrity. It meets IEC 61000-4-2 ESD protection requirements with ±25kV contact discharge capability. The Zener technology ensures fast response to transient events.
The device is housed in a surface-mount SOT-23-6 package with gull wing leads, compatible with standard pick-and-place equipment. It operates over a junction temperature range of -55°C to 150°C. The part is RoHS compliant and lead-free as standard.
Typical applications include personal digital assistants (PDAs), mobile phones and accessories, portable electronics, and ADSL/VDSL line cards requiring robust transient protection.
The reverse standoff voltage (working peak voltage) is 12V maximum.
The minimum breakdown voltage at 1mA is 13.3V.
The clamping voltage is 19V maximum at 1A and 28.3V maximum at 11A (8/20µs pulse).
The peak pulse current is 11A maximum for an 8/20µs waveform.
It is available in a surface-mount SOT-23-6 package.
It provides ESD protection of ±25kV per IEC 61000-4-2.
The typical capacitance is 3pF at 0V and 1MHz.
