The Bourns CDSOT23-T08LC is a low capacitance TVS diode designed for ESD and surge protection in sensitive electronic circuits. It features a working peak voltage of 8.0V and a breakdown voltage of 8.5V at 1mA. The device clamps transient voltages to 16.9V (max) at 8/20μs pulse current of 34A, with a peak pulse power rating of 500W. It offers bidirectional ESD protection per IEC 61000-4-2 with contact discharge up to ±30kV and air discharge up to ±30kV.
This TVS diode is suitable for general purpose applications including RS-232, RS-422, and RS-423 data lines, portable electronics, and wireless bus protection. The low typical capacitance of 5pF at 1MHz ensures minimal signal degradation in high-speed data lines.
The device is housed in a surface mount SOT-23-3 package (also known as TO-236-3 or SC-59) and is RoHS compliant with lead-free 100% Sn plating. It operates over a temperature range of -55°C to 150°C.
