The Bourns CDSOT23-SM712 is a surface mount TVS diode array designed for ESD, EFT, and surge protection in data port applications. It features two bidirectional TVS diodes with working peak reverse voltages of 7V (pins 3-1 and 3-2) and 12V (pins 1-3 and 2-3), with corresponding minimum breakdown voltages of 7.5V and 13.3V at 1 mA.
This device provides robust surge protection with a peak pulse power rating of 400W (8/20 µs waveform) and a peak pulse current of 17A. Clamping voltages are specified at multiple current levels: 11V/19V at 1A, 12V/20V at 5A, and 14V/26V at 17A for the respective diode pairs. ESD protection meets IEC 61000-4-2 standards with contact discharge up to ±30 kV and air discharge up to ±30 kV.
The CDSOT23-SM712 is housed in a standard SOT23-3 package (also known as TO-236-3 or SC-59) with 100% matte tin termination finish and UL 94V-0 flammability rating. It operates over a temperature range of -55°C to 150°C and weighs approximately 8 mg. Typical junction capacitance is 75 pF at 0V and 1 MHz.
The working peak reverse voltage is 7V for pins 3-1 and 3-2, and 12V for pins 1-3 and 2-3.
The peak pulse power is 400W for an 8/20 µs waveform.
At 17A peak pulse current, the maximum clamping voltage is 14V for pins 3-1 and 3-2, and 26V for pins 1-3 and 2-3.
