The Bourns CDSC706-0504C is a surface mount TVS diode array designed for protecting high-speed data ports. It features 4 unidirectional channels with a steering (rail-to-rail) configuration. The device offers a reverse standoff voltage of 5V and a minimum breakdown voltage of 6V. Clamping voltage is 9V at 5A (8/20µs pulse). Peak pulse current is 6.5A (8/20µs).
This TVS array provides excellent ESD protection, meeting IEC 61000-4-2 standards with 18kV air discharge and 14kV contact discharge on I/O pins, and 30kV both air and contact on VCC to GND. Input capacitance is low at 1.6pF (max), making it suitable for high-speed data lines. Channel-to-channel capacitance is 0.14pF (max). Maximum leakage current is 5µA.
The device is housed in a compact SC-70-6 package (also known as 6-TSSOP, SC-88, SOT-363). It operates over a temperature range of -55°C to +85°C and is lead-free as per the datasheet. It is intended for general purpose applications requiring ESD and surge protection.
