The CDNBS08-T12C is a bidirectional TVS diode array from Bourns designed for surge and ESD protection in sensitive electronic circuits. It features four bidirectional channels with a zener topology, providing protection for up to four lines. The device offers a working peak voltage of 12V, a minimum breakdown voltage of 13.3V at 1mA, and a maximum clamping voltage of 19V at 1A. Typical clamping voltage is 25.9V at 21A peak pulse current (8/20µs), with a peak pulse power rating of 500W.
ESD protection meets IEC 61000-4-2 standards with contact discharge ratings from ±8kV to ±30kV and air discharge from ±15kV to ±30kV. The array has a low leakage current of 1µA maximum at 12V and a capacitance of 105pF at 0V and 1MHz. Operating temperature range is -55°C to 150°C.
Applications include audio/video inputs, RS-232, RS-422 and RS-423 data lines, portable electronics, and medical sensors. The device is surface mounted in an 8-SOIC package (0.154" width, 3.90mm body width) and is RoHS compliant per Directive 2015/863.
