The CDCVF2505D from Texas Instruments is a high-performance, low-skew, low-jitter phase-lock loop (PLL) clock driver. Operating from a single 3.3V supply, this device is suitable for synchronous DRAM and general-purpose applications.
It distributes one clock input to one bank of five outputs, including CLKOUT for input-output delay tuning. The outputs are LVCMOS compatible and operate at frequencies up to 200 MHz. Key electrical characteristics include an additive RMS jitter of 70 fs (typ) and cycle-to-cycle jitter of less than 150 ps over a specified frequency range. The device automatically enters a power-down mode when no input signal is detected.
Available in an 8-pin SOIC package, the CDCVF2505D features integrated 25-ohm on-chip series damping resistors, making it ideal for driving point-to-point loads. The integrated RC PLL loop filter eliminates the need for external components. Its operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C.
