The CDBF0240 is a Schottky barrier diode manufactured by Comchip Technology, designed for efficient low-power rectification and high-frequency switching applications. It offers a maximum reverse voltage of 40V and an average forward current of 200mA. With a low forward voltage drop of 550mV at 200mA, it minimizes power loss and improves efficiency.
Electrical characteristics include a maximum reverse leakage current of 10µA at 30V, typical junction capacitance of 9pF at 10V and 1MHz, and a surge current rating of 3A for an 8.3ms half sine wave. The diode can operate with a junction temperature up to 125°C and dissipates up to 250mW.
The device is housed in a compact surface mount 1005 (2512 Metric) / SOD-323F package with gold-plated terminals, solderable per MIL-STD-750. It is RoHS3 compliant, halogen free, and has an MSL of 1 (unlimited). The product is supplied in tape and reel packaging for automated assembly. Typical applications include polarity protection, freewheeling diodes, and DC-DC converters.
