The CDBB320-G is a Schottky barrier rectifier diode manufactured by Comchip Technology. It is designed for surface mount applications and features a low forward voltage drop of 0.7V maximum at 3A and 25°C, enabling efficient rectification in low-voltage power supplies. The device is rated for a repetitive peak reverse voltage of 20V and an average forward current of 3A, with a peak forward surge current capability of 50A (8.3ms single half sine-wave). Reverse current is specified as 0.5mA maximum at 25°C and 10mA at 100°C.
The diode is housed in a DO-214AA (SMB) package with a weight of 0.063g. It features solderable terminals per MIL-STD-750 method 2026 and a UL 94V-0 flammability rating for the case material. The junction temperature range is -55°C to +150°C, with storage temperature from -55°C to +150°C. Thermal resistance from junction to ambient is 50°C/W when mounted on a PCB with a 0.2x0.2 inch copper pad.
Typical applications include polarity protection, freewheeling diodes, and low-voltage rectification in power management circuits. The Schottky technology offers fast switching with negligible reverse recovery time, making it suitable for high-frequency operation. The device is RoHS3 compliant, REACH unaffected, and halogen free as marked on the datasheet.
