The Texas Instruments CD4514BM96 is an active CMOS 4-bit strobed latch and a 4-to-16 line decoder. This device is designed for applications requiring digital multiplexing, address decoding, hexadecimal/BCD decoding, program-counter decoding, and control decoding.
The CD4514B features latches that hold the last input data presented prior to the strobe transition from 1 to 0. An inhibit control allows all outputs to be placed at 0, regardless of the state of the data or strobe inputs. It operates with a supply voltage range of 3V to 18V and has an operating temperature range of -55°C to 125°C.
This decoder/demultiplexer is available in a 24-SOIC surface mount package. It meets JEDEC Tentative Standard No. 13B specifications for 'B' Series CMOS Devices. The device is similar to industry types MC14514 and MC14515.
