CD4048BE

The CD4048BE from RCA is a versatile CMOS multifunction gate designed for various logic applications. This device features an 8-input configuration with four control inputs (Ka, Kb, Kc, Kd) that allow for the implementation of eight different logic functions, including OR, NOR, AND, NAND, OR/AND, OR/NAND, AND/OR, and AND/NOR. The fourth control input, Kd, provides a 3-state output capability, enabling the device to be connected to a common bus line.

With an operating temperature range of -55 to 125°C, the CD4048BE is suitable for a wide array of environmental conditions. It is housed in a 16-lead PDIP package, facilitating through-hole mounting. The device also includes an EXPAND input, which permits cascading multiple CD4048BE units to create gates with a higher number of inputs, such as a 16-input gate when two devices are cascaded.
