The CD214A-S1Y is a standard recovery rectifier diode from Bourns, part of the CD214A-S1x series. It features a maximum repetitive peak reverse voltage (VRRM) of 1600 V and a maximum average rectified current (Io) of 1 A. The forward voltage is typically 1.1 V at 1 A, and the reverse leakage current is limited to 5 µA at rated VRRM. The device can handle a peak forward surge current (IFSM) of 30 A for an 8.3 ms single half sine-wave.
This diode is designed for general purpose rectification in applications such as switch mode power supplies, portable equipment battery circuits, high frequency rectification, and DC/DC converters. It uses glass passivated chip technology for reliability and low power loss.
The CD214A-S1Y is offered in a compact 2-SMD, no lead surface mount package (supplier device package 2-SMD). It operates over a junction temperature range of -65°C to +175°C and has a thermal resistance of 115 °C/W junction-to-ambient (when mounted on PCB with 5.0 x 5.0 mm copper pads) and 21 °C/W junction-to-lead. The package is rated UL 94V-0 for flammability.
The maximum VRRM is 1600 V.
The maximum average rectified current (Io) is 1 A.
The maximum forward voltage (Vf) is 1.1 V at 1 A.
It uses a 2-SMD, no lead surface mount package.
The junction temperature range is -65°C to +175°C.
Yes, it is RoHS3 compliant.
